So, who is this Taidaka?

Well first of all, my real name is Jack.
I am a Hamburg based 3D artist and filmmaker.

The alias “Taidaka” (Station) came from a series of revisions to a name I’ve been using online since forever ago, a made-up compound word consisting of the japanese for “lazy” and “artist”.
Since it’s original meaning no longer applies to me, I am keeping it instead as a sign of growth and its ring which I have come to appreciate.

Regarding genre, format and theme, my primary focus lies on the creation and realization of fictional ideas from Dark Fantasy to Sci-Fi, though projects like Clarity and Concrete Conscience had me create and work with realistic assets as well, the former including my own highly detailed, 1:1 scale recreation of a real turntable.

While a primary focus — 3D in my case — is undeniably important, I am of the firm belief that experience in adjacent fields can act as strong support of said focus.
Among those fields, there is Illustration which I have practiced since before I can remember.
I picked up Photography and Digital Music Production a bit later in my life, but I have been doing both actively for more than a decade.

For some of my illustrations and photography work please see the Other Works section of my Catalogue.
